Surrounded by calm tides and protected by pristine forests, Ilha do Mel is one of those places that seem to exist outside of time. When you disembark, the sounds of the city disappear, giving way to the wind among the trees, the call of birds, and the coming and going of the sea. With 93% of its area under environmental protection, 12% of which are the Ilha do Mel State Park, this part of the coast of Paraná is an invitation to enchantment.
The landscapes that unfold along the way speak to the soul. The Gruta das Encantadas, surrounded by mystery, seems to hold ancient legends of the sea. At the top of Morro das Conchas, the Lighthouse has silently watched over the waters since the 19th century, presenting those who climb its 150 steps with one of the most breathtaking views of southern Brazil. In the quietest corner of the island, rests the Fortress of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres, surrounded by forest and memory, where the sunset paints the sky with shades of gold and nostalgia.
Walking along the trails is letting yourself be guided by old instincts. The eyes are lost in the brightness of wild orchids, the feet follow paths of sand and stone, and the heart slows down before the simple and raw beauty. On Ilha do Mel, there is no hurry. Only silence, salt on the skin, and the certainty of being in a place that heals, inspires and transforms.
