Central Amazon Parks

Let the Amazon touch your soul on a journey to the world's largest rainforest

In the vast green expanse of the Amazon, everything pulsates with life: the rivers that carve paths between thousands of islands, the trees that rise like natural cathedrals, the songs of the forest that echo at dawn. Recognized as a Natural World Heritage Site by Unesco, the Central Amazon Conservation Complex is home to parks of wild and rare beauty, such as Anavilhanas National Park and Jaú National Park, both in the Amazonas State. Every step through this territory is more than a journey: it is a profound connection with the spirit of nature and with the communities that preserve ancestral traditions.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Practical information

The Amazon has an equatorial climate, hot and humid year-round. Temperatures range between 24°C and 34°C, with high humidity. Prepare for heat, tropical rains, and abundant natural beauty.

The Amazon can be visited year-round, and each season offers different landscapes and experiences. The flood season (March to August) is ideal for aquatic trails, boat trips through flooded forests, and wildlife observation. The dry season (September to February) is when incredible river beaches emerge, and the river levels allow access to islands and land trails.

To make the most of your trip through the Amazon, pack light and comfortable clothing, a hat/cap, sunglasses, and closed-toe shoes for hiking. Daily use of sunscreen and insect repellent is essential, as is staying hydrated. The yellow fever vaccine is recommended before your trip (at least, ten days prior to the beginning of the trip). And remember: in many remote areas, there is no cell phone or internet signal, the perfect setting to immerse yourself in the forest.
